
Flower and Butterfly
With Blender, I created the model of flower and butterfly for the topic of nature. For beginning, I created the grass for the flower. I put the grass image as a background on the orthographic view and used plane to trace the image. Then, I used the UV unwrap, from the projected view, to put the image texture on the grass. For flower, first I have put the flower image as a background picture just like grass. Then I traced the image with normal plane by using the edit mode. Later on, I used the UV unwrap from the projected view. I scaled the outcome on the UV image editor and put the material on the flower to put the image texture on the flower. It was a similar process for both leaf, flower, and grass. For stem, I just created the cylinder and used the edit mode to curve the cylinder like stems. For butterfly, I used the same process, tracing the image, putting on UV image editor, and putting the material. For the body, I used the cylinder with extrudes and scales. I have put a bone on the butterfly to move the body and the wing. Then, I moved the bones to adjust the wings of a butterfly. I've put a background picture and a plane with a texture to create a natural scenery for the background. I used the HDR images for the environment texture and grass texture for the plane. I created the images for one flower and one butterfly with a plane and warm background, and I created couple images with the environment background. Lastly, I also created the image of all the flowers I made for this project.
